Samsung Washing Machine Error Code UC: Voltage error
Applies to Samsung washing machines that show UC or PF, 9C1, 9C2 on the display.
There is an irregularity in the electrical current supplied to the washer. A PF code after a power cut, an unplugged washer or a tripped breaker is expected behaviour, not a fault.
What this code means
The washer monitors its supply voltage. Spikes, brownouts, and running the machine in a country with a different grid standard can all trigger this code.
The manufacturer's checks, in order
- Confirm the washer is on its own circuit and is not using an extension cord.
- If the power went out, the washer was unplugged, or a breaker tripped, simply restart the cycle — that is the PF variant of this code.
If the code continues on a clean, dedicated circuit, Samsung says to request service.
