Samsung Washing Machine Error Code OE: Overflow error
Applies to Samsung washing machines that show OE or OC, 0C, 0E on the display.
There is too much water in the washer. Stop the cycle, let the machine drain, and check you are not overdosing detergent.
What this code means
The level sensor reports more water than the cycle should contain. Excess detergent foam can also read as overfill, and a stuck inlet valve can keep filling past the set level.
The manufacturer's checks, in order
- Stop the cycle and let the washer drain.
- Check your detergent dose — too much detergent, or non-HE detergent in an HE washer, foams up and can trigger this code.
- If the washer keeps filling even with the power off, close the water supply valves: the inlet valve is stuck open.
If OE returns with a correct detergent dose, or the machine fills with the power off, request service — the inlet valve or level sensor needs attention.
