Samsung Dishwasher Error Code 4E: Water supply error
Applies to Samsung dishwashers that show 4E or 4C on the display.
The dishwasher is not getting water at the pressure or temperature it needs.
What this code means
The dishwasher meters the water it takes in. Low pressure, a closed valve or a clogged inlet all produce the same code because the result — not enough water — is the same.
The manufacturer's checks, in order
- Check whether the water supply valve is closed — and open it.
- Check the supply itself has not been suspended (another tap in the home should run).
- Check the inlet valve and line are not frozen or clogged by foreign particles.
- Avoid FloodSafe hoses: Samsung says to check the supply requirements and not use them.
If the problem continues, close the water supply valve and contact a Samsung service center.
