Samsung Dishwasher Error Code LE: Leakage error
Applies to Samsung dishwashers that show LE or LC on the display.
The leak sensor has detected moisture. The dishwasher will switch itself on and keep trying to drain, and will not switch off.
What this code means
When this code occurs the dishwasher turns itself on and will not turn off — it keeps attempting to drain the water away to protect your floor. On Waterwall models a blocked water reflector can produce the same code without a true leak.
The manufacturer's checks, in order
- Look for the leak: under the machine, at the door seal, and at the hose connections. The machine will keep trying to drain while this code shows.
- Use less detergent and never overfill the dispenser — excess foam can escape and trip the sensor.
- If you just installed a garbage disposal, check its dishwasher inlet cap was knocked out, as Samsung advises.
- On Waterwall models, also check the water reflector is not blocked.
Samsung treats persistent leakage as a functional error: close the water supply valve, switch the dishwasher's circuit breaker off, and contact a service center.
Parts involved in this fault

Error codes are not shared between brands. On LG dishwashers, LE is the “Wash motor error” fault — see LG LE explained. Always read a code against your own brand's list.
