LG Dishwasher Error Code tE: Thermistor (temperature sensor) error
Applies to LG dishwashers that show tE on the display.
The temperature sensor has failed.
What this code means
The thermistor reports water temperature to the control. An open or shorted sensor gives the control nothing trustworthy to work with, so the machine flags tE and stops heating.
The manufacturer's checks, in order
- Power-cycle the dishwasher at the breaker and try again.
LG's manual table is blunt: thermistor failure means contacting LG — the sensor has to be tested and replaced.
