LG Dishwasher Error Code bE: Bubble (oversudsing) error
Applies to LG dishwashers that show bE on the display.
Too many bubbles — almost always the wrong detergent. This is a usage error, not a machine fault.
What this code means
Ordinary dish soap foams far more than dishwasher detergent. The machine detects the bubble overload and stops, because foam escaping the tub reads exactly like a leak in the making.
The manufacturer's checks, in order
- Switch to detergent made for automatic dishwashers — never hand-washing liquid.
- Run an empty cycle to clear the excess foam; LG's manual notes cleaning the tub with milk can help in stubborn cases.
- Make sure the dishwasher is level.
